CROSSOVER Men is a Christ-centred app for men seeking restoration. Much of what you write here is personal and private, so we want to be plain about what happens to it.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how we share it, and how we protect it. It covers this website and the CROSSOVER Men app.

01Information you give us

Most of what we hold is what you choose to enter or write yourself.

  • Your account — your name, email address and password, and the sign-in method you use, such as Google.
  • What you write — your check-ins, journal entries, Reset reflections and practice notes, devotional journals, Daily Clarity practice, testimony, letters to yourself, escape plan, Three Circles boundaries, arousal template and weekly plans.
  • People you name — if you invite an accountability partner, the name and email address or phone number you enter for them, and whatever you choose to send them.
  • Messages and requests — what you write to the coach, to us through the contact form, or in a coaching or group enquiry.

02Information created as you use the app

Some information is recorded automatically so the app works and stays secure.

  • Your activity — which days and features you open and when you complete a check-in or a Reset day, so your progress follows you.
  • Technical details — your device and browser type, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and error and security logs.
  • Purchase records — what you bought, when, and the email you paid with, together with a Stripe customer reference. Your card details never reach us.

03How we use your information

  • To run the app: create your account, keep you signed in, save what you write and sync it to your device.
  • To unlock what you have paid for, and to know which days of the Reset or the course are open to you.
  • To send the emails you ask for: account verification, password resets, daily reminders, and updates to an accountability partner you have invited.
  • To answer you when you write to the coach or to us, and to generate the reflections the coach or a devotional offers you.
  • To keep the app safe and working: preventing misuse, protecting accounts, diagnosing faults and monitoring performance.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To understand, in aggregate and without identifying anyone, how the app is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing.

04Sensitive information

What you write about sexual struggle, temptation and relapse is sensitive, and we treat it that way.

It is held in your own account and shown to you. It is not shared with anyone unless you send it yourself. A small number of administrators can access stored records for member support, security and investigating misuse, as set out in the next two sections.

CROSSOVER Men is a discipleship and reflection tool, not a counselling or medical service. Unless you choose to share it, what you write is not read by a coach, a counsellor or anyone else.

05Working on paper instead

Nothing in CROSSOVER Men has to be written on a device. Worksheets for the Reset days and the course exercises are in the app under Worksheets, ready to print and complete by hand, and you are welcome to keep a personal journal notebook alongside them.

What you write on paper stays yours. It never enters the app, it is not stored on our systems and nobody at CROSSOVER Men sees it. You can enter only what you are comfortable typing into the app and leave the rest on paper — your Reset days, course chapters and progress still work exactly the same.

If you share a device or an account password with anyone, a journal notebook is the safer place for your most private reflections.

06Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only in these cases:

  • Our platform provider — Base44 hosts the app, its database, sign-in and file storage, and provides the AI and email services the app calls. Your information is stored and processed on their infrastructure.
  • Stripe — our payment provider. Your card details are entered with and held by Stripe. We receive only the outcome of the payment, the email used, and an identifier that lets us match a purchase to you.
  • AI providers — when you use the coach, Daily Clarity or a generated devotional, the text you submit is sent through our platform provider to an AI service so a response can be written.
  • Email delivery — so that the emails you request can reach you, and so an update can reach a partner you have invited.
  • Someone you choose — an accountability partner, coach or group receives only what you send them, or what you deliberately make visible to them in the app.
  • Our administrators — a small number of CROSSOVER Men administrators can access records in the app, for member support, security, and investigating misuse.
  • Legal and safety — where we are required by law, or where it is necessary to protect someone from serious harm.

07How we disclose it

Every disclosure above happens in one of these ways, and never by a public post or an open link:

  • Inside the app, to your own account, or to a read-only view you deliberately create for a partner you have named.
  • Through our service providers, by the app sending your information to them over an encrypted connection at the moment that feature is used.
  • By email, sent to the address on your account, or to a partner you have invited.
  • Within our small administrator team, under access controls and only for the purposes listed above.

08How we protect it

We rely on the protections built into the platform the app runs on, and we limit who can reach what.

  • Everything moves over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Passwords are stored hashed by our sign-in provider, so nobody at CROSSOVER Men can read them.
  • Access rules keep records with their owner: your check-ins, Reset days, journals and reflections are visible to you and to administrators, not to other members. A partner sees only what you deliberately share.
  • Card details are handled entirely by Stripe to payment-card industry standards and are never stored on our systems.
  • Any file you upload is held in private storage and reached through a link that expires, rather than a public web address.
  • Administrator access is limited to a few people, and is used for support, security and misuse investigations.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities without undue delay.

09Where your information is held

Your information is stored on the servers of our platform provider, which may be located outside the country you live in. Where information is handled by a provider, we rely on the protections in their terms, and we only use providers we consider appropriate for information this personal.

10How long we keep it

Your content is kept while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete the content in it, apart from records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons, such as purchase records.

Deleting something can leave a short-lived copy in a backup before it is overwritten.

11Your choices and your rights

You are in control of what you put in the app, and you can ask us about the rest.

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your account and the content in it.
  • Turn reminder emails off, and unsubscribe from any email we send.
  • Delete many entries yourself, directly in the app.

Write to care@crossovermen.app and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request.

12Children

CROSSOVER Men is built for adult men and is not intended for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we will close it and delete its content.

13Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For a change that materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

Questions about your privacy?

Write to us and a person will read it. You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the content in it.
